His Holiness Pope Francis appointed Rt. Rev. Dr. James Anaparambil, the Bishop of Alleppey, as the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Cochin. The former Administrator, Rev. Msgr. Shaiju Pariyathussery, made the papal announcement at the Cathedral Basilica yesterday at 7 p.m. Bishop James Anaparambil requested all priests and faithful of the diocese to cooperate with him until His Holiness Pope Francis appoints a new bishop for the diocese.
