KLCA (Kerala Latin Catholic Association), along with the Laity and Political Affairs ministry, encourages active participation of lay Catholics in the social and political life of society. In the Diocese of Cochin, this association works to protect the rights and welfare of the Latin Catholic community while promoting leadership, social awareness, and civic responsibility.

It also motivates lay members to participate in public service and community development inspired by Catholic social teaching.
